This channel has way more useful info than what Graves has IMHO. It’s great that Graves is preserving the Moe Norman swing & documenting it but that’s not going to work as a teaching model verbatim for a lot of folks. Why the heck would anybody try to copy anyone else exactly. Each person is a little different. Moe was a great talent with some great concepts but he was short and stocky. So take what is useful to you and keep moving. No two people are the same. I think Kirk has figured this out very well. You seem to utilize useful and adaptable aspects from Moe, Bryson and maybe even a bit of stack and tilt. I dig it ! If you go to a PGA event the only thing each of the pro golfers have in Common is they are all wearing foot joys ! Keep up the great work, KJ.

He does not actually do that when he swings. You could never hit a ball from the position he is talking about. Maybe it feels that way to him, but he actually does not move that way. He does have a very good downswing move. Also the club does not continue down the target line after impact as he claims. His own video shows the club head going left after impact. So he does not move down the target line longer than anyone else. It is important to correct these false statements. Unless you want to ruin golf swings.

Hi Kirk Your content is very helpful I'm not sure I've seen you discuss the head position, because if we sway, then we've moved our center back a few inches... making it more difficult to have the grip lead the club head, no?

I was at Hillside for the semi final of The Amateur against Fred Kennedy. This guy hit it off the planet on the back nine. Every time lads in RSA polo shirts found his ball 👀. He don’t swing like Moe no moe

Here is why this is a problem for golfers, and there is not an easy fix. The drill is in slow motion, but the problem occurs at full speed. Everyone knows that a huge amount of clubhead speed comes from lag and wrist snap through the ball as the clubhead accelerates to catch up with the hands. The challenge is to have the wrist snap with the clubface square at impact not completely done, but finishing this snapping action past the ball. Unfortunately, past the ball your arms are no longer in front of you at a comfortable position so it feels a bit unnatural at full speed. So, it just needs to be learned with a lot of practice at full speed also. Thanks for your great videos. They are great because you have spent time figuring out what makes sense in the golf swing.

Hi Kirk, can you explain club and arm being one? When I set-up with club/arm straight line, lets say 7 iron, feel,I need to close my stance to keep that arm/club being a straight line. I hit a lot of weak slice shots, contact feels "slappy", it starts right and keeps going right. I hope I'm explaining this in a way you can understand.

Kirk, Love your teaching. I do have a comment with regards to the height of the golfer. It appears to me that a short person, let's say 5' - 4", would have a difficult time aligning the club to the trailing elbow unless they stand much further back from the ball. I guess they can choke down quite a bit to achieve the relationship. But that creates other problems imo. What are your thoughts on this issue please?

I've watched multiple Moe videos and tried to replicate Moe's swing, only to be met with colossal failure! LOL! This man is an anomaly. His explanations are common sense/logic, yet it takes his genius to apply them. There will never be another.
